Tidal gauge at Algeciras (PSMSL ID: 2117) - Sea level data

The tidal gauge of Algeciras is located at the harbour and it measures sea level from November 2006 onwards. This station is a replacement gauge for the former Algeciras tide gauge (PSMSL ID 490) with records from 1943 to 2002.

The tidal gauge is located at the harbour of Algeciras. Note that there are two time series due to the relocation of the station. Details for the current station are given below:

Lat : 36º 07.17’ N Lon : 005º 26.13’ W

TGBM: NGV.665

TGZ: 0.03 m below Hidrographic Zero.

TGZ: 3.520 m below TGBM (NGV.655).

Datum information: The data refers to the Tide Gauge Zero (TGZ).

The quality control checks applied to the data are: date & time, spikes, residual and comparison with neighbourhood stations.
